Lodging
Lodging at Desert Harbor is a truly unique experience. Each space has been thoughfully designed and appointed to provide maximum rest, comfort and interaction with the beauty of New Mexicos high desert.
Our facility lies on thirty-four acres, centrally located between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, which borders five hundred acres of public wilderness. Because of our remoteness, we are a one hundred percent off-the-grid retreat, but the realities of this level of sustainability may not be for all.
We do not provide television or internet, and our road can get muddy at times, but if you have read this far, the opportunity to encounter what one guest described as "the most beautifully permeating silence I have experienced," could be more alluring.

- The Lookout
- A stay at Desert Harbor also allows the adventurous guest access to what we call the lookout, a shaded platform built high above the guest cottage, suspended off a cliff, offering expansive views. There is a two-person hammock and writing desk here for further lounging and reflection.
All meals provided at Desert Harbor are individually prepared using primarily local and organic ingredients, including the use of meats that have been humanely treated and are free of hormones. Every effort will be made to accommodate food allergies and preferences.
There are three options for meals, and you determine how you would like to dine:
- Join the directors of Desert Harbor in the main house for shared meals
- Have meals delivered to the guest cottage at a predetermined time
- Prepare your own meals at the guest cottage
Of course, you may also choose some combination of these three options. Breakfast is always included in the base lodging rate. We can provide dinner for $20 per person.
Our standard rate is $125 a night for one or two adults which includes a full breakfast made from local and organic ingredients. Each extra adult is $25 a night. If you choose to combine your stay with at least one of the services of spiritual direction or life coaching, the lodging rate is reduced to $110. Airport transfers are available for $60 round trip.
